10 companies selected in the Industrial Safety New Technology Contest

Support for startups including patents and funding
The Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (Chairman Park Du-yong) announced on the 10th that it selected 10 companies for the '2021 Safety New Technology Contest' to foster startups in the field of industrial safety in collaboration with the Ulsan Creative Economy Innovation Center (Director Kim Jae-hoon). The grand prize was awarded to IDK (CEO Kim Bong-ki), which developed real-time retaining wall facility collapse prediction technology.
The gold prize was awarded to two companies: Heart Safety (CEO Nam Jin-hyeok), which developed a CPR training service system, and a predictive diagnostic technology (CEO Kim Jong-myeon) that utilized an AI-based underground pipeline monitoring system.
Silver prize was awarded to three companies, including Yangsu Metal (CEO Oh Chang-soo), which developed anti-vibration supports, and G.I.F. Korea (CEO Ahn Hyun-soo), which created a 3D structured heat radiating material to prevent battery fires in electric vehicles. KOSHA provided these companies with a certificate and a total of 30 million won in support.
Now in its 4th year, the Safety New Technology Contest is the first contest in Korea to support and nurture startups related to new technologies in industrial safety. It is evaluated as laying the groundwork for successful entrepreneurship in the industrial safety sector while fostering a related startup ecosystem.
The Ulsan Creative Economy Innovation Center is providing support by establishing a comprehensive support system for startups, including patent and funding support, and marketing.
